A Successful Day in Court As A Divorce Litigation Lawyer in China

I must confess that it has been a while since I did a full civil bench trial. It's not good for a China litigation lawyer, especially when I often boast that I am experienced!  I thought the one scheduled this afternoon should settle for a specific dollar.  When it didn't O/C and I rather quickly it pulled together for a brief trial (two hours), which ended up in settlement for exactly what I predicted - along with a stipulation for my client that resulted in no issuance of a judgment.

The judge was fairly new, but complimented both of us old war horses for presenting a calm, precise, well represented case.  So both clients were pretty happy at the end of the day.

Feels very nice to have pulled it off so quickly and easily, so I just had to share with a few hundred of my closest buds!  Now, if some of my very weird, very complex divorce litigation matters could progress as nicely, all would be right in my world.  Sad to report that some divorce litigators have gotten a bit surly lately.  It's a shame, as that used to be so much more, well, refined, than some of the other areas of litigation.  Back to being happy.  Have a good evening everyone!

Brava!!!  Experience wins!  Re: the divorce matters, you can handle it. It's their loss if they can't be civil with you.

I said to myself: Well done. It is strange when you realize that you pulled off in short order what could have included many more hours of preparation and angst.
